Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time revealed the key visual for the upcoming second season, as well as cast additions. Season 2, which is titled Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Super Extra, still doesn’t have a release date.
The cast list for the second season has been updated and now includes:
- Hiro Shimono as Peter
- Yui Ninomiya as Luvellia
- Hibiku Yamamura as Lisa
- Ayana Taketatsu as Mimi
- Akari Uehara as Vegan
- Sayaka Senbongi as Piglette
- Suzuna Kinoshita as Lucy
- Mikoi Sasaki as Gobuko
- Kana Yuki as Fulltalia
- Shiori Izawa as Misslim
Fulltalia and Misslim are the new additions to the cast in the sequel, which was announced in November of last year. Character art for both has been revealed:
Studio Seven is joining studio Wolfsbane to animate the Peter Grill and the Philosopher’s Time: Super Extra. The staff for the sequel is:

The anime is based on a manga by Daisuke Hiyama. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed it and describes the plot as:
After winning the Grand Fighting Tournament, Peter Grill hoped he’d finally be allowed to marry his guild-mate sweetheart. However, being crowned the world’s strongest man comes with its own set of challenges: namely the queue of ogres, elves, and other warrior women lining up outside his door. They aren’t out to challenge him for his title–they want his seed for their bloodlines! What’s a strongman to do?!
