Classroom of the Elite Year 2 Volume 7 Cover Reveals

Classroom of the Elite‘s official Twitter account posted the cover visual for the upcoming Year 2’s 7th volume on May 26, 2022. The seventh volume of the light novel is slated to release on June 24 in Japan.

The image shows two characters of Honami Ichinose‘s class, Ryuji Kanzaki standing beside Yuki Himeno sitting, with their eyes in different directions. Yuki Himeno is a new character who made her first appearance in Year 2 Volume 4.5. Both of them view their own class in different ways from others, away from the mainstream.

MF Bunko J’s advertising assistant Suzu Sakuragaoka posted a teaser visual with only black silhouettes of the characters last month, on May 16.

The volume will have limited edition that comes with merchandise:

Toranoana: Pass holder with Yuki Himeno from the cover.

Gamers: Set of two A3-sized clear posters: One is Ichika Amasawa with tears in her closed eyes. And the other is Arisu Sakayanagi, a scene from Year 2 Volume 6.

Melonbooks: B4-sized desk mat with an illustration that depicts Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Kei Karuizawa enjoying the school’s cultural festival together. In addition to the item, an IC card sticker with character information of the Ichinose class’s Sayo Ando is available.

Animate: A5-sized acrylic plate with Kei Karuizawa standing in front of the door, bashfully waiting for her boyfriend.

Volume 1 was released in May 2015 and concluded the series’ Year 1 with Volume 11.5 in September 2019. Year 1 received an anime adaptation and aired from July to September in 2017. In February 2022, it was announced that the anime’s 2nd and 3rd seasons will cover the whole part of Year 1. Season 2 is slated for July 2022, and Season 3 is set for 2023. Classroom of the Elite Season 2 visual has been updated on a weekly basis, and Kakeru Ryuen joined the other main characters on May 23.
