Hideo Kojima Reacts to Lycoris Recoil Episode 4 With Shorts Emoji; Decides to Keep Following the Anime

Hideo Kojima, who recently discovered Lycoris Recoil anime, shared his thoughts on the fourth episode with his Twitter followrs. Kojima tweeted on July 24 saying that the anime caught his attention and made him binge-watch and wonder when the new episode would air.

I found out that the anime was also on Netflix,” Kojima began his tweet on July 26. “So instead of Amazon Prime, I checked the fourth episode of ‘Lycoris Recoil’ on my well-used Netflix.” In the July 24 post, he revealed he wasn’t good at navigating Amazon Prime Video and was looking for the episode which was yet to be released at that time. The anime broadcasts on Saturday nights in Japan, and it’s updated on Tuesdays at noon on these streaming platforms. Kojima then continued to express his view on the new episode with a shorts emoji: “My thoughts when I watched the fourth episode: 🩳” Other than the brief opinion, he casually stated he would continue to follow the series: “Come to think of it, I haven’t been to an aquarium for ages. I’ll check the anime next week, too 👍

Hideo Kojima’s Reaction on Lycoris Recoil Episode 4.

Studio A-1 Pictures is producing Lycoris Recoil under Sword Art Online series character designer Shingo Adachi’s direction. Ben-To light novel author Asaura wrote the original story, while This Art Club Has a Problem! manga author Imigimuru is in charge of the anime’s character design. The tweet attracted the original story writer Asaura and the character designer Imigimuru. Asaura showed his surprise and appreciation in an awed, respectful tone: “D-D-D Did he just say he would check the anime next week as well?!” Imigimuru on the other hand expressed his feeling of gratitude with emojis including shorts:

Hideo Kojima welcomed the reaction and quote-tweeted it with emojis likewise:

The character designer replied to the tweet above in an admiring, respectful tone: “I have been enjoying Director Kojima’s works… I-I’m truly delighted [to have received your reply]…” The praised director quote-tweeted it and said “That’s wonderful to know👍😍🙏”. After Imigimuru received the first quote-tweet and sent him the reply, the manga artist conveyed happiness in a separate tweet saying he was so happy that he couldn’t concentrate on his work. Asaura pointed out that it was understandable.

Hideo Kojima also updated his English account on July 27 with statistics on how his first tweet about the anime worked on the platform: “Two days ago, I tweeted somberly, “Saw Lycoris Recoil”. When it was circulated, it got 57,000 likes, so I looked at the “impressions” and saw that it had 8.51 million.
