Tsurune Season 2 Announced for January 2023, Visual Released

The second season Tsurune anime series has officially been announced and will begin broadcasting in January 2023. As part of the announcement, a key visual for the highly-anticipated sequel was released:

Joining Tsurune‘s second season cast is Jun Fukuyama, who will play the role of second-year student Eisuke Nikaido. The announcement was made during the stage greeting for the release of the franchise’s movie Tsurune – Hajimari no Issha – (Tsurune: The Beginning Arrow). A trailer for the second season will be released on August 26.

Tsurune is based on the light novel series by Kotoko Ayano, with illustrations by Chinatsu Morimoto. It has been serialized in KA Esuma Bunko since December 26, 2016. It received an anime adaptation by Kyoto Animation, which aired from October 2018 to January 2019. The same studio also animated the movie.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series, describing the plot as:
When Narumiya Minato joins Prefectural Kazemai High School, he is quickly invited to join the archery club by the club’s advisor, Tommy-sensei. His childhood friends Takehaya Seiya and Yamanouchi Ryohei swiftly agree to join, but Minato is hesitant at first. Because Minato is the rare student with experience in archery, Tommy-sensei orders him to give a demonstration, which Minato does… except his arrow doesn’t hit the target. It is revealed that Minato has developed a terrible dysfunction regarding archery.
