Rasuko Okuma’s Hoshikuzu Telepath is getting an anime adaptation, as announced earlier today. The seinen manga is a comic of age story about two girls who are aiming for space and is being serialized as a four-panel (4-koma) manga in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara magazine. An announcement visual was revealed, although further details are still unknown:
The serialization of the manga started in 2019, first as a guest work with only two chapters. In the same year, a full serialization began and has since been collected into two volumes. The first one was published on July 27 of 2020, while the second followed on September 27, 2021. The next one is slated for October 27 of this year.
Hoshikuzu Telepath follows two high schoolers who struggle to fit in. Umika Konohoshi struggles when it comes to communicating with her peers and people in general, so much so that she sometimes feels like she doesn’t belong to this world and is perhaps an alien who does not belong on Earth and is trapped here while being forced to interact with others. One day, Umika meets a mysterious girl who claims that she is an alien! The two connect.
