Stardust Telepath Manga to End with Seventh Volume

After a seven-year serialization, Rasuko Okuma’s Stardust Telepath (Hoshikuzu Telepath) manga is ending with its seventh volume. The announcement came via the manga’s sixth volume. The series’ publisher hasn’t announced the release date for the final volume.

Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara initially released Okuma’s four-koma sci-fi manga as a guest series in May 2019. But after a welcome reception, Manga Time Kirara approved a full-length series, which began in July 2019. Houbunsha has since compiled the manga into six volumes.

Studio Gokumi adapted Stardust Telepath into a TV anime in October 2022. The anime’s lead voice cast included

  • Yurie Funato as Umika Konohoshi
  • Seria Fukagawa as Yuu Akeuchi
  • Shiki Aoki as Matataki Raimon
  • Moe Nagamuta as Haruno Takaragi

Hoshikuzu Telepath also received a 2024 live-action TV drama adaptation courtesy of TV Tokyo. Crunchyroll currently streams the anime.

We’ve all looked towards the night sky, but while most of us feel a sense of beauty, Umika Konohoshi feels a sense of longing. Due to her crippling anxiety and social phobias, life’s been an unfortunate and lonely affair for Umika. That loneliness led her to seek comfort in the night sky, to the point that she wishes she could travel to the stars and befriend aliens. Yet despite knowing Earth is a place she’ll never belong to, there’s little she can do to fulfill her dream. But when she meets a self-described alien with amnesia and telepathy named Yuu, Umika’s life quickly pivots. Not only does Umika get her first friend, but she gets help in reaching her dreams. How? They’ll build a rocket together!
