Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime revealed non-credit versions of the opening and ending earlier today. The opening theme song is “Shukufuku/The Blessing” by YOASOBI recently revealed a full music video.
Shiyui’s “Kimiyo kedakakuare” is the ending theme song. ryo from supercell was in charge of the music, lyrics and arrangement. Both the opening and the ending for Gundam: The Witch from Mercury are available on YouTube, but the videos are region locked.
Studio Sunrise is animating the series, which premiered earlier this month. This anime will have a split-cour, with the second part being slated for the Spring 2023 anime season. The TV anime was preceded by Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Prologue special, which was released in July of this year.
The staff for Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury anime includes Hiroshi Kobayashi as the director, Okuchi Ichiro as a scriptwriter, with Maria Tagashira, Juri Toida, and Hirotoshi Takaya as character designers. Hajime Yatate and Yoshiyuki Tomino are credited with the original concept and Mogumo with the original character designs. The story is an original work and a stand-alone part of the Gundam franchise.
The cast for the anime includes Kana Ichinose as Suletta Mercury, Lynn as Miorine Rembran, Miyu Tomita as Chuatury Panlunch, Yume Miyamoto as Nika Nanaura, Yohei Azakami as Guel Jeturk, Natsuki Hanae as Elan Ceres, and Makoto Furukawa as Shaddiq Zenelli.
Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and describes the plot as:
A.S. (Ad Stella) 122― An era when a multitude of corporations have entered space and built a huge economic system. A lone girl from the remote planet Mercury transfers to the Asticassia School of Technology, run by the Beneritt Group which dominates the mobile suit industry. Her name is Suletta Mercury. With a scarlet light burning in her pure heart, this girl walks step by step through a new world.
