Studio A-1 Pictures’ original Lycoris Recoil anime released a fall-themed jacket cover for the fourth volume of BD and DVD. The product compiles the eighth and ninth episodes and is scheduled to be released on December 21, 2022.
The newly-unveiled jacket cover was drawn by the original character designer Imigimuru and depicts the series’ main characters dressed for chillier weather; Chisato Nishikigi (left) is sitting and Takina Inoue (right) is standing. They are surrounded by pumpkins, which give the illustration a Halloween feel.

Chika Anzai (Chisa Kotegawa in Grand Blue Dreaming) voiced Chisato Nishikigi, while Shion Wakayama (Destiny in Takt Op. Destiny) played the role of Takina Inoue. The voice actresses took the top 2 spots in Anime Corner’s Seiyuu of the Season for Summer 2022 with Anzai’s win.

The original Lycoris Recoil anime aired from July to September 2022. The story was written by Asaura, known for his battles-over-bento-boxes light novel Ben-To, while the characters were designed by Imigimuru, the author of This Art Club Has a Problem manga. Shingo Adachi, who is known as the chief animation director and character designer of the Sword Art Online series, directed the series. The anime was voted by fans as Anime Corner’s Best Anime of the Summer 2022 Season, and one of the main characters, Chisato Nishikigi won the Best Girl of the season.
