Shun Horie Joins Spy x Family Cast as George Glooman

Shun Horie joined the Spy x Family cast as one of Anya’s classmates, George Glooman. George was introduced in the first half of the 19th episode as someone who has a bone to pick with Damian Desmond. As the story progresses we find out the reasons for his grudge, but not all as is as it appears to be.

Horie is a voice actor well-known for his roles as Ichiro Suzuki in Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Kazuya in Rent-a-Girlfriend anime, Shun in I’m a Spider, So What?, and Hacker in Akudama Drive. He also voices Rommel in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and he also voiced Asta in the 2016 Jump Festa Black Clover special.

Spy x Family has been on a roll when it comes to introducing new characters lately. Just last week, we got a chance to see Yuichi Nakamura voice Daybreak – a spy who was hired to mess with Damian’s grades. The explanation behind his mysterious appearance was shown in this episode and it turns out that George played a role in it.

The main cast for the Spy x Family anime includes:

  • Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger
  • Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger
  • Saori Hayami as Yor Forger
  • Hiroyuki Yoshino as Franky Franklin
  • Yuko Kaida as Sylvia Sherwood
  • Kazuhiro Yamaji as Henry Henderson
  • Natsumi Fujiwara as Damian Desmond
  • Emiri Kato as Becky Blackbell

The popular anime is currently on its second cour of the first season. WIT Studio and CloverWorks are animating the adaptation based on Tatsuya Endo’s manga, which is being serialized in Shonen Jump+ online platform. The plot follows a spy named Twilight who is forced to come up with a makeshift family to fulfill his mission. Viz Media licensed the manga in English.

Crunchyroll is streaming the Spy x Family anime, which originally premiered in April of this year, and describes the plot as:
World peace is at stake and secret agent Twilight must undergo his most difficult mission yet—pretend to be a family man. Posing as a loving husband and father, he’ll infiltrate an elite school to get close to a high-profile politician. He has the perfect cover, except his wife’s a deadly assassin and neither knows each other’s identity. But someone does, his adopted daughter who’s a telepath!
