The upcoming BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense Season 2 anime unveiled the second trailer and a Christmas visual along with January 11 premiere date during the anime’s special live-stream on Saturday. Four cast members, Kaede Hondo (Maple), Ruriko Noguchi (Sally), Ai Kakuma (Mai), and Nanaka Suwa (Yui) attended the program. The anime announced that the second season will have a total of three BD and DVD volumes with 12 episodes. SILVER LINK. is animating the adaptation.
The Christmas visual features the four characters, Maple, Sally, Mai, and Yui preparing for Christmas.
The Bofuri anime is based on Yumikan’s light novel of the same name. The series has been ongoing on the Shosetsuka ni Naro online web novel service since May 2016. KADOKAWA has picked up the series and published the first compiled volume with art by KOIN under its KADOKAWA BOOKS label in September 2017. The newest, the 14th volume was released in August 2022. The next, 15th volume will have a special edition with an illustration booklet and the release date is set for January 10, 2023.
The first TV anime adaptation by SILVER LINK. aired from January to March 2020 with a total of 12 episodes. Yen Press licensed the light novel for English release and published the debut volume in April 2021. The newest, 7th volume was released in October 2022 and the 8th volume’s sale date is set for February 21, 2023. The official website describes the plot as:
