The upcoming Love Live Sunshine spin-off anime, titled Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror revealed a new key visual, trailer, and a July 2023 premiere date on Sunday. The new key visual features all the members of the idol group Aqours in a fantasy getup.
Previously posted as an April Fools’ day joke in 2022, the series announced its anime adaptation during the second day of the Aqours 6th live concert in June 2022 at Tokyo Dome. Studio Bandai Namco Arts (previously Sunrise) will be animating the anime with Asami Nakatani as the director. Toshiya Ono is writing the scripts, Tatsuya Kato is composing the music, and Yumiko Yamamoto is illustrating the character designs.
The cast of Love Live Sunshine which composes of the idol group Aqours will reprise their role for the spin-off:

- Arisa Komiya as Dia
- Ai Furihata as Ruby
- Anju Inami as Chika
- Shuka Saito as You
- Nanaka Suwa as Kanan
- Rikako Aida as Riko
- Aina Suzuki as Mari
Love Live Sunshine’s spin-off anime will adapt the manga written by Hajime Yatate and Sakurako Kimino with illustrations provided by Matsuda Kouta. The story revolves around the daily life of Yohane (Yoshiko Tsushima) in a fantasy world that takes place in Numazu, a beautiful port town surrounded by seas and mountains.
