Oshi no Ko anime revealed a preview video and images of episode 3 which is scheduled to air on Wednesday, April 26. The episode is titled “Manga-Based TV Drama” and will be available to stream on HiDIVE, Ani-One Asia ULTRA, Bilibili, and Netflix Asia.
Kouki Uchinomiya is directing the episode (Komi Can’t Communicate episode 5) with the scripts written by Jin Tanaka (Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club) and storyboard done by Takudai Kakuchi (Domestic Girlfriend episode 4) and Kenta Onishi (Shikimori’s Not Just Cutie episodes 3 & 8). Tomoyo Atsumi (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is credited as the chief animation director.
Studio Doga Kobo (Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie) is animating Oshi no Ko with Daisuke Hiramaki (Selection Project) as director and Saori Tachibana (Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as the assistant director. Kanna Hirayama (Rent-a-Girlfriend) is adapting the character designs from the manga written by Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokari (Scum’s Wish). YOASOBI is performing the opening song while Queen Bee sings the ending theme.
The cast of Oshi no Ko includes Rie Takahashi as Ai Hoshino, Takeo Otsuka as Aquamarine Hoshino, Yurie Igoma as Ruby Hoshino, Megumi Han as Kana Arima, Manaka Iwami as Akane Kurokawa, Rumi Okubo as Mem-cho, and Lynn as Miyako Saito. HIDIVE describes the series as follows:
