A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special web novel is getting an anime adaptation, as announced on AnimeJapan 2023. The adaptation is set to air this year and teaser visual to commemorate the announcement has been released.
Takuma Terashima, known for his roles in anime such as Durarara!!, Ace of Diamond, The Irregular at Magic High School, The Misfit of Demon King Academy, and Tokyo Revengers, will play the main character Desir Herrman. A video comment from Terashima has been released.
A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special anime is based on a manhwa by So-nan Yu and illustrated by Uk-jakga. It was first published on KakaoPage in May 2018 before getting a webtoon adaptation by Wookjakga. It is also available on the free webcomic service Piccoma.
Yen Press has licensed the manga in English, describing it as:
