A Wild Last Boss Appeared anime revealed a new trailer and key visual featuring additional cast and an October 4 premiere. The additional cast consists of:
- Show Hayami as Demon King Orm
- Miyu Irino as Mars
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Jupiter
- Shun Horie as Sei Minamijuuj
Studio WAO World is animating. Yuya Horiuchi is directing, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is overseeing the series scripts, Maiko Ebisawa is designing the characters, and TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFT GREEN-FUND is composing the music.. The voice cast includes:
- Ami Koshimizu as Lufas Maphaahl
- Yuri Usui as Dina
- Yukina Shutō as Aries
- Hisako Tojō as Libra
- Naoya Uchida as Aigokeros
- Mika Kanai as Parthenos
- Kokoro Omori as Virgo
- Shunsuke Takeuchi as Sword King Alioth
- Tomoaki Maeno as Wise King Megrez
- Daisuke Hirakawa as Sky King Merak
- Satomi Akesaka as Vampire Princess Benetnasch
The opening theme song, “Level o Agete Butsuri de Naguru” by Kisida Kyodan & The Akebosi Rockets, and the ending theme song “Migi Hidari” by Yuka Nagase are featured on the trailer:
The anime adaptation is based on a light novel series by Firehead, which features illustrations by YahaKo. It first began on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in October 2015, with Earth Star Entertainment publishing a print edition under their Earth Star Novel imprint from February 2016. Both ended on April 15, 2019.
There is also a manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki, which began serialization on Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star website in June 2017 and is currently ongoing. J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and manga in English.
