Japanese musician AiNA THE END has released a new single titled “On The Way,” which serves as the opening theme for DAN DA DAN Season 2. The track was made available digitally at midnight local time on July 2.
The song was written by AiNA THE END, with composition and arrangement by producer Shin Sakiura. It is described as a song that “brims with hooks and contrasts: playful yet profound, eerie yet catchy. Phrases like “sentimental love” glimmer through heavy verses, while unexpected call-and-response moments bring a sense of levity.”
A music video was released alongside the single. It shows AiNA THE END portrayed as both a human and a yokai (spirit).
This release follows a series of other singles from AiNA THE END this year, including “Peerless Flowers,” “It’s Gonna Be Alright,” and “Aria.” In June, she also released her first memoir.
To support the single, AiNA THE END will launch a nine-city tour across Japan titled “On The Way,” beginning October 1 at Zepp Nagoya. Tickets are currently on sale. You can also watch the opening video for the anime below.
