Aiobahn +81 has released his second single, “side by side (feat. FUWAMOCO),” which serves as the official ending theme for Nekopara After La Vraie Famille. The track was released on June 13, and is available on numerous music streaming platforms.
Rooted in electronic dance music, “side by side” is a melodic house track “laced with shimmering nostalgia,” aiming to recreate the golden era of bishoujo game theme songs but with a 2025 energy. The song features vocals by FUWAMOCO, the twin “chaos queens” from hololive English, whose “sweet, airy delivery adds a dreamy texture to the track.” FUWAMOCO, winners of the 2024 VTuber of the Year at the VTuber Awards, have over 1.1 million YouTube subscribers and are vocal superfans of the Nekopara series.
The song also includes “playful cat-like chants of ‘Nya Nya Nya…,’” a lyrical nod Nekopara, which has sold over 6.5 million copies worldwide. The single’s cover art is an original, exclusive piece drawn by Sayori, the illustrator and creator of Nekopara, featuring Aiobahn +81 and FUWAMOCO together for the first time.
Aiobahn +81 is a new identity launched in 2025 for music producer Aiobahn, allowing him to explore otaku-centric subcultures like denpa, anisong, and game soundtracks. His debut single, “天天天国地獄国 Tententengokujigokugoku (feat. Nanahira & Pmaru-sama),” racked up 9.5 million YouTube views in just four months and cracked the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at No. 10 in May 2025.
