Project Kavvaii, the VTuber agency backed by the airasia Super App, is opening up new VTuber additions on November 29, 2021. The project aims to expand its lineup of talents, which started off with their current VTuber Aozora Kurumi.

Project Kavvaii opens applications until 31 December of this year. Two talents will receive a one-year contract, with access to a support team and complete set of tools for streaming. They will be given the opportunity to collaborate with the airasia team to help shape and build on their characters.

Speaking about the new audition process, Rudy Khaw, Chief Brand Officer at airasia, noted that Aozora Kurumi’s debut has brought them closer with the VTubing community. He added that what started out as an idea and a team effort has been made into reality, evident with what Kurumi has achieved so far.

“Our aim for Project Kavvaii is to eventually develop into a virtual talent arm that provides entertainment and engagement opportunities for fans, for brands, for communities and even pull people into the world of the airasia super app for everyone.”
