The hit multimedia project ALIEN STAGE is officially getting an anime series adaptation. The announcement was made at the franchise’s panel at Anime Expo 2026.
The announcement was made through the franchise’s official social media channels, confirming that an ALIEN STAGE anime series is now in production. No release window, staff, studio, or cast details have been announced yet.
Created by South Korean creators VIVINOS and QMENG, ALIEN STAGE debuted on YouTube in 2022 as an original animated music project. The story unfolds through a series of music videos depicting a dystopian competition where humans, raised as pets by aliens, are forced to participate in a deadly singing tournament known as Alien Stage.
The series gained a massive international following thanks to its animation style, original songs, and emotional story. Unlike traditional episodes, it’s told through animated music videos, character songs, promotional artwork, and supplementary content.
Since its debut, ALIEN STAGE has expanded into a multimedia franchise with official art books, merchandise, concerts, exhibitions, and collaborations, while its soundtrack has exceeded millions of streams across platforms. The project has also become frequent at anime and pop culture conventions worldwide, with its music videos regularly surpassing tens of millions of views on YouTube.
The newly announced anime will be the franchise’s first full series, set to expand on the world introduced through its original animated music videos. Additional information, including the animation studio, production staff, and release date, has yet to be revealed.
