You and I Are Polar Opposites and The Ramparts of Ice have revealed a new special collaboration illustration as part of the ongoing “Kocha Agasawa Anime Year” project, celebrating the anime adaptations of both manga series by Kocha Agasawa.
The visual features a symbolic “baton pass” from Koyuki to Miyu, marking the conclusion of The Ramparts of Ice on July 2 and the upcoming premiere of You and I Are Polar Opposites Season 2 on July 5.
The collaboration also coincides with the ongoing Anime Expo 2026, where both series are getting dedicated panels. You and I Are Polar Opposites will host a Season 2 premiere event featuring voice actors Sayumi Suzushiro and Shogo Sakata, while The Ramparts of Ice will screen Episode 14 alongside a talk with director MANQ and producer Yoko.
Based on Kocha Agasawa’s romance manga, You and I Are Polar Opposites follows the relationship between the outgoing Suzuki and the reserved Tani. The series is animated by Lapintrack, with Takayoshi Nagatomo directing and Teruko Utsumi handling series composition. Season 2 premieres in Japan on July 5, 2026, with international streaming continuing through Crunchyroll, Bilibili, ANIPLUS, and Medialink.
The Ramparts of Ice, which concluded its first season on July 2, is the second anime adaptation based on Agasawa’s works, making 2026 a milestone year for the creator’s stories on screen. Studio KAI is in charge of the animation production, with Mankyu directing the first season and Yasuhiro Nakanishi handling the series composition. Season 2 of The Ramparts of Ice will make sure there’s no 2026 anime season without Agasawa’s work when it airs in Fall 2026.
