Anna Yanami From Makeine Celebrates 2024 Birthday With Special Illustrations

November 29 marks the birthday of Anna Yanami from Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines, and several illustrations have been released to commemorate it in 2024. The character was voted our Summer 2024 Best Girl last season, beating out Yuki and Alya from Roshidere with over 30,000 people voting. The official X account for the anime shared the following graphic.

Takibi Amamori began the Too Many Losing Heroines light novel in July 2021, with 7 volumes and a short story collection releasing as of July 2024. Imigimuru is the novel’s illustration, with the artist sharing the birthday with Anna (also born on November 29. There is also a manga adaptation by Itachi. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the light novel and manga.

The Too Many Losing Heroines anime ran for a total 12 episodes from July to September 2024. Shoitaro Kitamura directed it at studio A-1 Pictures, with Tetsuya Kawakami as the character designer and Masahiro Yokotani on the series composition. The story follows Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a highschool student who is (un)fortunate to meet numerous adorable ‘losing heroines’ and witnesses their rejections. Although he tries to stay out of it, he never really succeeds and this leads to some very interesting relationships and developments.
