Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest season 2 has received a new key visual along with new cast information. The anime will premiere on January 13, 2022.

Katsuyuki Konishi and Makoto Ishii will join the cast of the series in season 2. The title of the opening song for the anime is Daylight by MindaRyn and is featured in the new trailer:
About Arifureta
Ryo Shirakome launched Arifureta: From Common Place to World’s Strongest web novel series on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in November 2013, with Takayaki as the illustrator. The print edition started publishing in 2015 in Overlap magazine. The same publisher started publishing a manga adaptation by RoGa in December 2016, and as of now, it has 8 volumes available. J-Novel Club licensed it in English.
The first season of the anime adaptation aired from July to September 2019 and had a total of 13 episodes. Later on, an OVA also aired in December 2019 and February 2020. Kinji Yoshimoto (Seven Mortal Sins) directed the first season, while studios Asread (Mother of the Goddess’ Dormitory) and White Fox (Akame ga Kill!) animated it. Akira Iwanaga is directing the second season while studio Mother will take care of the animation.

With the addition of Kaori into their party, Hajime and his friends make for Myu’s hometown, the coastal city of Erisen. While crossing the Gruen Desert, they save a young Ankajian man, Bize, from a sandworm attack. Apparently, he was searching for a cure to the mysterious disease that has struck his people. His travels led him to conclude that a mineral known as stillrock held the key to saving his country, but it can only be found inside the Grand Gruen Volcano, a labyrinth far too dangerous for most. Hajime agrees to help Bize procure some, and the party begins their quest to conquer yet another labyrinth. But along the way, they meet a most unexpected foe…
