Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke (Season 4) TV anime by WIT Studio has revealed the first teaser visual and trailer, along with a Spring 2026 release date. The anime had previously confirmed a 2026 release date back in December last year.

The new announcement was first made at the ongoing Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles. The trailer is yet to be uploaded, and the article will be updated as soon as it is. The press release describes it as “the main character, now using the name Rozemyne, struggling to bring a printing press to a fantasy world where the distribution of knowledge via books could disrupt the status of the ruling class.”

Speaking on the trailer, WIT Studio CEO George Wade promised that fans can expect WIT Studio’s standard of quality, “We love to live up to the WIT Studio quality, and bring you lots of action and clean images”.

Managing Director of TO Books Yui Shibata noted that he’s excited to see the series grow: “We’re coming to the 10 year anniversary of Ascendance of a Bookworm, with the work translated into over 20 countries. This partnership with WIT Studios is very exciting and should make the visuals and action better than ever”.

YTV animation Anime Producer Goshi Yoshida also expressed his belief in the series’ continued success and, “hopes to make Ascendance of a Bookworm into the Japanese Harry Potter”.

Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 3: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke (Season 4) First Visual | Spring 2026 Release Date

Part 3 of the light novel begins in Volume 8, and it’s described:
Following a disastrous encounter with a noble, Myne finally resolves to say goodbye to her family and friends in the lower city, changing her name to “Rozemyne” and beginning her new life as the adopted daughter of Ehrenfest’s archduke. However, her days as an archnoble in noble society are brutal, as she is put through rigorous etiquette and magic training on top of her duties as High Bishop and forewoman. It all proves too much for a weak little seven-year-old girl… Or it would have, had the High Priest not offered her the keys to the temple’s book room as a reward. If she could get her hands on those, she’d be able to read all sorts of precious books! Her name may have changed, but Rozemyne’s passion for books remains the same as she charges into a whole new world! The detailed setting expands as the printing industry grows in size. Here begins Part 3 of this biblio-fantasy for book lovers everywhere!
