There are only three days left in the Attack on Titan countdown to the final episode and today’s illustration is once again Pieck, who already appeared twice in the illustrations. Studio MAPPA is animating the finale, which will air on November 4. Yesterday’s visual featured snuggly Mikasa with Eren, and Armin. Michel Sugimoto drew the new countdown visual:
The finale of the anime will air as an 85-minute special. Linked Horizon and Ai Higuchi will be performing the opening and ending theme songs, “The Last Titan” and “See You Later” respectively. Both songs will be released on November 5 and will be used for episode cuts for the special. Hajime Isayama, the mangaka, issued a statement thanking MAPPA for all their hard work and apologizing for the difficulties they face. He says that the final battle was hard to draw in the manga and he is sure it was difficult to transform that into anime. He got to draw some rough drafts at the end:
In addition to the event, the series is also getting its first-ever art book, slated for April 2024 release. The book will contain colored illustrations, but also a new 18-page story about Levi’s childhood, titled Bad Boy. Director Yuchiro Hayashi also issued a statement:

Attack on Titan is based on a manga series by Hajime Isayama serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from 2009 to 2021. The manga ended in April of 2021 after 139 chapters, compiled into 34 volumes. The final, 34th volume came out in June 2021. The manga received an anime adaptation by WIT Studio in 2013. Season 2 came in 2017, followed by the third season which was split into two cours. The first cour aired in the summer of 2018, while the second one started in April of 2019. Studio MAPPA took over the franchise for the 4th season, which was titled Attack on Titan Final Season. It started airing in December of 2020 and had a total of 16 episodes. After it finished airing in March of 2021, Part 2 was announced. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 started in January of last year.
