Black Butler: Public School Arc anime revealed the main trailer and theme songs ahead of the show’s April 13 premiere. The new anime for the series will be animated by studio CloverWorks. The opening theme song is “The Parade of Buttlers” performed by otoha, while SID is in charge of the ending theme song “Atonement.” Both are previewed in the trailer, and Sebastian only talks at the end.
The announcement was made at the show’s Anime Japan 2024 stage. Previously, the anime revealed a key visual and a teaser P4 trailer featuring the P4 members: Edgar Redmond (Red House), Lawrence Bluewer (Blue House), Herman Greenhill (Green House), and Gregory Violet (Purple House).
Kenjiro Okada will direct the anime, with Yumi Shimizu designing the characters and Hiroyuki Yoshino as the head writer. Ryo Kawasaki is in charge of the music.
Black Butler is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yana Toboso. It has been serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly GFantasy since September 2006. Its first anime adaption by A-1 Pictures ran for 24 episodes from October 2008 to March 2009. The second season had 12 episodes and aired from July to September 2010 (original story without manga content). Another series, titled Black Butler: Book of Circus, aired in 2014. A two-part theatrical OVA titled Black Butler: Book of Murder screened in Japanese theaters in October and November 2014. The series also got a live-action film adaptation in January 2014, as well as an animated film titled Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic in January 2017. The new Black Butler anime was announced in July 2023.
