BLEACH 2022 anime adaptation, covering the Thousand-Year Blood War Arc, released episode 1 today in Japan and internationally on Hulu, and it had a special ending featuring scenes from the previous BLEACH seasons. Some of the characters making an appearance are Aizen, Ulquiorra and Grimmjow, and the theme song is “Rapport” by Tatsuya Kitani. You can watch the special ending video below:

Masakazu Morita and Yuki Matsuoka are reprising their roles as Ichigo and Orihime. Takayuki Sugo is joining as Yhwach. You can check out the full voice cast, while the staff for the anime includes:

Studio Pierrot previously produced the original TV anime adaptation of Tite Kubo’s BLEACH manga, which aired between October 2004 and March 2012 with a total of 366 episodes. VIZ Media licensed it in English, and they describe the BLEACH 2022 (TYBW) story:
The peace is suddenly broken when warning sirens blare through the Soul Society. Residents there are disappearing without a trace and nobody knows who’s behind it, meanwhile, a dark shadow is also extending itself toward Ichigo and his friends in Karakura Town…
