Brave Group has announced the merger of its subsidiary ENILIS with Tokyo-based virtual talent producer brossom. This is Brave Group’s ninth successful M&A (merger & acquisition), positioning the company to better adapt to the rapidly-expanding virtual liver (VLiver) industry.

Strengthening the Virtual Talent Ecosystem

The merger aims to combine ENILIS’s creative talent management platform HareVare, which was launched in July 2023, with brossom’s proven expertise in VLiver production. Founded in 2019, brossom manages over 200 virtual streamers through five separate agencies, offering avatar designs and live-streamer training programs among services.

ENILIS, under Brave Group’s umbrella, is described as “entertainment with more freedom,” encouraging their virtual talents to expand the the entertainment culture “in the same manner that other proud Japanese industries like manga and anime.”

Industry Growth and Strategic Goals

The virtual talent market has surged in recent years. Brave Group already has 16 subsidiaries across five countries and is trying to capitalize on this trend by merging brossom to their ENILIS. The merger accelerates its goal to “break through the hearts of 8 billion people” by scaling VLiver content and cross-platform collaborations. They are also developing multiple businesses both domestically and internationally in the fields of IP Production, which operates their VTuber business, IP Platforms and IP Solutions.

Statements from ENILIS and brossom

ENILIS Director Issey Sugeno said:

We’re very lucky to have the opportunity to merge our existing business “HareVare” with brossom, which operates in the same field.
Currently brossom manages over 200 talents, and we’re confident that by making use of the knowledge they’ve harnessed along the years collaborating with us, HareVare will be able to reach much further and more dynamically.
With the new brossom team, ENILIS will have a stronger structure and will aim to expand the number of talents and platforms to expand in the VLiver field.

Brossom CEO Soichiro Uno also shared a statement:

We launched our V-Liver business in 2021 and have since produced and supported many V-Livers. We have been part of many wonderful moments throughout our operations as an agency, like the instant a V-Liver is created and starts getting fans who support them, or that moment a popular liver fulfills their dreams. Our vision of “turning your everyday self into a virtual star,” is filled with our desire to increase those moments with many more wonderful V-Livers.
With this merger, we can’t wait to work with Brave group and ENILIS to further realize such vision.
We’ve also been able to come this far thanks to the affiliated livers who support the agency and the listeners who always support them. We’re eternally grateful. From now on, we’ll work even harder as part of Brave group and will very much appreciate everyone’s continued support.

Brave Group’s Expansion

Brave Group’s workforce now spans 382 employees, which is a 148% year-over-year increase. The Keito Noguchi, Brave Group CEO, said: “We’re confident that brossom’s past achievements and know-how in development and management of live streamers will cause a chemical reaction as they join us, which will undoubtedly result in very rapid growth.”

They also shared a link for recruitment opportunities and updates on Brave Group’s initiatives, which you can find on their official website.
