Bungo Stray Dogs anime released a 300-second long recap trailer ahead of the upcoming Season 4, which is scheduled to begin broadcasting on January 4, 2023. The video features the path the anime has walked during the first three seasons with the anime’s theme songs by GRANRODEO and SCREEN mode.
Studio BONES is animating the Bungo Stray Dogs anime based on an ongoing manga of the same name written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. The manga has been serialized in KADOKAWA’s monthly Young Ace magazine since December 2012 and will release the next, 23rd volume on December 28, 2022. The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2016, the second season from October to December 2016. The third season was broadcast from April to June 2019. A film adaptation titled Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple premiered in March 2018 in Japan.
Yen Press licensed the series for English releases and the newest, 22nd volume is scheduled to be released on January 17, 2023. The official website describes the plot of the first volume as:
Having been kicked out of the orphanage, a despairing young man by the name of Atsushi Nakajima rescues a strange man from a suicide attempt–Osamu Dazai. Turns out that Dazai is part of an armed-detective agency staffed by individuals whose supernatural powers take on a literary bent!
