We may have all been hoping for a Season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs, but it’s not coming just yet. Instead, we are getting a Bungou Stray Dogs gag spin-off TV anime, which is an adaptation of the manga spin-off by Kanaineko. It is a light hearted comedy with the chibi versions of the characters, and has been ongoing since 2015. It currently has 6 compilation volumes, and the synopsis is as follows:
The peaceful days of the very popular work “Bungo Stray Dogs” are here. The characters of the Armed Detective Agency and the Mafia are in miniature form?! Due to Atsushi and co. becoming cute, this is a different experience to the original work – a pleasant gag manga!
The adorable series has also received a new trailer:
The new Bungou Stray Dogs gag spin-off anime’s ending theme song is sang by Atsushi Nakajima (voiced by Yūto Uemura)! It is a cover of the “Namae wo Yobu yo” (Call Out The Name) ending theme song used in the first season of Bungou Stray Dogs. The original version is performed by Luck Life, and you can check it out on Lantis’ official YouTube channel:
The Bungou Stray Dogs gag spin-off will premiere on January 12, 2021. Studios Bones and Nomad are collaboration on the animation. Hopefully we get a 4th season soon too! In the meanwhile, you can check out what’s currently trending this season if you need stuff to watch!
