Season 2 of the fantasy slice-of-life anime By the Grace of the Gods has unveiled a new visual and teaser trailer, ahead of its January 2023 premiere. A new character Miyabi will also join the cast, and he will be voiced by Yuiko Tatsumi. Check out out the teaser visual:
The first season of By the Grace of the Gods aired in October 2020 with a total of 12 episodes. The series announced its sequel in June of last year. Studio Maho Films is returning to animate the second season alongside the director Yuji Yanase. Deguchi Kaho still acts as chief animation director and character designer while Yamada Yuka will be the new script writer for the sequel. Watch the new trailer:
The anime is adapted from the light novel written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra. J-Novel Club is licensing the series in English and describes it as:
Under the protection of the gods, a relaxed life with slimes in another world begins! One day, the life of middle-aged Japanese businessman Ryoma Takebayashi came to a rather sudden and disappointing end. Ryoma had never had a blessed life, but after his death, three great gods sought his cooperation and reincarnated him as a child in another world with swords and magic! Receiving a most cordial and divine welcome from the gods, Ryoma decides to live leisurely on his own in the forest for the time being. Working diligently at magic and hunting, Ryoma’s greatest passion comes to be researching his tamed slimes?!
