Chilli Beans has released their latest single, “Pain,” following the success of their previous track, “Tragedy.” The single will be part of their upcoming EP, The Outside Wind, which is scheduled for release on June 25. The song is available on numerous music streaming platforms.
“Pain” “captures what everyone carries but rarely voices – the hurt that comes with simply being alive.” Built around that theme, the track is described as marking “a new chapter for Chilli Beans., revealing a sharper, more explosive sonic edge,” with the message “Feel the sound now. Just that alone. And maybe you can stand back up again” woven into the song to make it a track “not just heard, but felt.”
Chilli Beans (stylized as Chilli Beans.) formed in 2019, and the band consists of Moto (vocals), Maika (bass/vocals), and Lily (guitar/vocals). They handle everything from songwriting and arrangement to visual direction.
Their 2021 track “Lemonade” topped Spotify Japan’s Viral Top 50. In 2023, their collaboration “Rose feat. Vaundy” hit No.1 twice on Billboard JAPAN’s Heatseekers Songs chart. Their song “Raise” was selected as the ending theme for the ONE PIECE anime, and “I Like You” was the theme song for the Fuji TV drama Toki o Kakeru na, Koibitotachi.
Chilli Beans sold out their first solo headline show at Nippon Budokan in 2024. They will go on their “Upside Down Tour” in 2025, visiting seven cities with eight performances. The band is also set to perform at Summer Sonic 2025 and Clockenflap 2025.
