The preview images and teaser trailers for the finale of The Eminence in Shadow have been released. The 20th and final episode of the season will air on February 15, 2023, and we will see Cid’s battle against Iris Midgar and War Goddess Beatrix. You can check out the preview images below:
The Eminence in Shadow premiered on October 5, 2023. The anime is currently on its second cour with 19 episodes. Kazuya Nakanishi is directing the show at studio Nexus. You can watch the show on HIDIVE. The trailers are available below:
A special trailer narrated by Akane Nishino (C.V. Yui Horie), who first and last appeared in the first episode of the anime is also available. Based on her narration, it is safe to assume that she will once again appear after 19 episodes. You can watch the video below:
Enterbrain has been serializing Daisuke Aizawa’s The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) light novel series with Tozai’s illustrations since 2018, and it currently has 5 volumes in circulation. The anime is currently adapting the second volume and you can read the synopsis by Yen Press below:
Cid pays a visit to the Sacred Land, where he finds himself getting roped into the Goddess’s Trial.
