Classroom of the Elite Season 2 released a preview trailer and images for episode 13 along with the title and synopsis. The thirteenth episode is scheduled to air on September 26 today. The episode title is a quote from “Also sprach Zarathustra (Thus Spoke Zarathustra)” written by German philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche: “Der schlimmste Feind, dem du begegnen kannst, wirst du immer dir selber sein,” which translates into “the worst enemy you can meet will always be yourself“.
The newly released preview images for the final episode shows the protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokoji, Class-D’s Suzune Horikita, Kei Karuizawa, Maya Sato, Class-C’s Mio Ibuki, and Kakeru Ryuen,
The anime depicted a battle between Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Kakeru Ryuen in the previous episode, and is adapting the light novel’s Volume 7.5. The synopsis describes the episode as follows:

The light novel’s author Shogo Kinugasa is writing the scripts for the anime’s weekly preview trailers, and this week’s video features female characters talking about a certain position: “The 2nd season is going to end next week,” Class-D’s Suzune Horikita begins. Class-B’s Honami Ichinose joins, looks back on the season and says she feels Class-D’s Karuizawa played the role of “heroine”. The mentioned student replies: “I told you before that I’ll win in the end, right?” Class-A’s Arisu Sakayanagi reacts to it with a laugh and Karuizawa asks what it is about. Sakayanagi answers: “You are taking the lead, and that’s all. It’s not the goal. It’s not decided that you will be the final winner.” It makes the Class-D student complain that Sakayanagi is saying someone else will win, and the Class-A student clearly states: “I will win in the end.” She further tells that she is the one to stand next to him in the end. The Class-B student points out that it may be Ichinose, and Karuizawa denies and says she is the one. “You all can argue over that as much as you please, but are you truly the one?” Horikita’s comment takes other characters by surprise. She says the episode title and concludes the video with a meaningful line “At the end of this story, the one in the closest position to him will be –”
