Collar x Malice: Deep Cover Gets Trailer Ahead of Second Part's Premiere on June 23

The Collar x Malice: Deep Cover anime film has released a new trailer ahead of the second part’s theatrical premiere this June 23. The first part of the film was released on May 26 in Japan.

Studio DEEN is animating the movies with Hiroshi Watanabe as the director, and Ryosuke Naya as the sound director. Masaru Yokoyama is composing the music. The cast includes:

  • Masakazu Morita as Aiji Yanagi
  • Yuuki Kaji as Kei Okazaki
  • Soma Saito as Mineo Enomoto
  • Daisuke Namikawa as Takeru Sasazuka
  • Ryohei Kimura as Kageyuki Shiraishi

  • Katsuyuki Konishi as Mitsuru Sowa
Collar x Malice: Deep Cover anime film – Key Visual

The Collar x Malice series started with a visual novel, developed by Idea Factory, under their Otomate brand. It was first released in Japan in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. It was then released by Aksys Games in 2017 for North America and Europe and it received a Nintendo Switch release in 2020.

Aksys Game lists Collar x Malice with the following synopsis:
A dangerous shadow organization launches a campaign of fear and violence in the city of Shinjuku, pushing society to the brink of chaos. As a young police officer tasked with restoring order, you become the target of an attack, and have a poisonous collar attached to your neck. With the situation spiraling out of control and time running out, five mysterious strangers appear to aid you in your quest for the truth. Who can you trust? Will you be able to save yourself and the soul of Shinjuku from the clutches of oblivion? In a city bound by malice, you are the only hope for salvation!
