COLORFUL STAGE The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing anime movie revealed a new short trailer, as well as its opening theme song. The movie was announced in July, and it is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on January 17, 2025. A global release date is ‘coming soon.’
Studio P.A. Works is animating, under the direction of Hiroyuki Hata. You can watch the new trailer below.
An English-subbed version of the first trailer was also released. The opening theme song is “Hajimari no Mirai” by 40mP × sasakure.UK and features vocals by Hatsune Miku. You can hear it in the video below.
The Project Sekai movie was teased to feature a ‘new’ version of Hatsune Miku, one who has not appeared in the game. She will meet characters from Project Sekai and grows alongside them in what is described as a completely original work.

Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!, also known as Project Sekai: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku, is a rhythm game developed by Colorful Palette and published by SEGA. It is a spin-off of the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA rhythm game series by SEGA and Crypton Future Media, and was first released in September 2020. Studio P.A. Works previously animated a short anime series for the franchise.
