Crunchyroll is hosting a limited-time TRIGUN STAMPEDE watch party on YouTube starting January 6 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET, ahead of the premiere of TRIGUN STARGAZE on January 10. The stream will include all 12 episodes of Studio Orange’s TRIGUN STAMPEDE and will remain available until January 13 at the same time.
The initiative is a chance for fans to revisit the events of the rebooted series before its final chapter airs. Crunchyroll had originally planned to premiere a new episode of The Anime Effect podcast featuring an interview with original manga creator Yasuhiro Nightow, but this has been rescheduled to a later date.
TRIGUN STAMPEDE was directed by Kenji Muto (Land of the Lustrous), while TRIGUN STARGAZE is helmed by Masako Sato (Haikyu!! To the Top). Both titles were developed by Studio Orange and include scripts based on Takehiko Oki’s concepts, with character designs by Kouji Tajima (GANTZ:0).
The new installment picks up two and a half years after the Lost JuLai tragedy. Vash, now going by Eriks, lives in hiding until an emergency call from his old home pulls him back into conflict. Meanwhile, Meryl continues her search, this time partnered with Milly, and encounters familiar faces including Wolfwood. The returning threat of Millions Knives sets the stage for a final confrontation. You can watch the latest trailer for the upcoming anime below.
