The Cute High Earth Defense Club Love series is getting a movie adaptation, which will be released in Winter 2025. It is also worth noting that the series will be celebrating its 10th anniversary in January. Studio Comet, which animated the series’ 2017 OVA, second and third season, is returning to animate the movie.
The original staff from the first anime series is also returning, including Shinji Takamatsu as director and Michiko Yokote on the screenplay. The rest of the staff includes:

The original cast of the so-called Earth Defense Club of the series is also returning and includes Kazutomi Yamamoto as Yumoto Hakone, Yuichiro Umehara as En Yufuin, Kotaro Nishiyama as Atsushi Kinugawa, Yusuke Shirai as Io Naruko, Toshiki Masuda as Ryuu Zaou, and Mugihito as Wombat.
The Cute High Earth Defense Club Love anime is a magical boy anime television series created by Kurari Umatani. The first TV anime series was animated by Diomedéa and aired from January to March 2015. Prior to the anime release, a spin-off manga titled Binan Kokou Chikyuu Seifuku-bu Love! by Mizu Morino was serialized by Pony Canyon from 2014 to 2015.
Studio Comet then took over the animation, and the second TV anime season titled Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! aired from July to September 2016, followed by an OVA titled Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! in August 2017 and a third season titled Cute High Earth Defense Club HAPPY KISS! which aired from April to July 2018.
Aside from these, there is also an ongoing light novel series by Natsuko Takahashi which has been serialized since January 2015 and a mobile game developed and published by Anipani Co. Ltd in February 2015.
Crunchyroll, which streams all three seasons and the OVA, describes the first season’ story as:
The story revolves around the members of the “Earth Defense Club” aka the “Do Nothing Club” at Binan High School. One day, the club members are soaking in a hot bath together when all of a sudden a mysterious pink wombat appears out of thin air! The wombat asks the members to lend it their help to protect the Earth. At school the next day, each of the club members receives a magical bracelet enveloping them in a dazzling light.
