Part 2 of DANMACHI: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon IV revealed the opening and ending videos, following the January 6 premiere. “Shiko” by Saori Hayami is the opening theme song for this cour. Hayami also voices Ryu Lion in the anime and DanMachi games.
A new trailer was revealed recently along with the theme songs. “Kirikizu” by sajou no hana was announced as the ending theme:
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka is reprising his role as Bell and Inori Minase is once again Hestia. Ayumi Mano voices Cassandra, Akeno Watanabe is Aisha, Wakana Kowaka is Daphne, while Kazuyuki Okitsu and Maaya Uchida voice Kashida and Liliruca respectively. Yuka Iguchi also returned as Hitachi. J.C. Staff is animating the series and the staff includes:
- Director: Hideki Tachibana
- Series Composition: Fujino Omori and Hideki Shirane
- Character Design: Shigeki Kimoto
- Music: Keiji Inai
The same studio also animated the previous seasons of the anime. The first one aired in the Spring 2015 season, while the second followed in the Summer of 2019. The third season aired in Fall of 2020, while the OVA came out in 2021. Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon: Arrow of the Orion movie premiered in 2019, and was also animated by J.C. Staff. HIDIVE is streaming the anime.
The anime is based on a light novel written by Fujino Omori and illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda. SB Creative has been publishing it under its GA Bunko imprint since 2013. Yen Press licensed the series in English and describes the plot as:
Adventurer Bell Cranell’s life changed forever when he met the goddess Hestia, becoming the first member of her familia. Since then, he’s gone on many adventures, growing much stronger in the process. But when he steps foot into Orario’s pleasure quarter, where Ishtar Familia reigns supreme, he soon finds himself in way over his head… With enemies all around him, he’ll need the help of a beautiful, fox-eared courtesan if he’s to have any hope of making it back home!
