Demon Slayer: Hinokami Chronicles 2 Sequel Game Reveals First Trailer, 2025 Release Date

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 sequel game revealed the first trailer and a 2025 release date. The game will launch simultaneously worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam.

As announced earlier today, the story will cover the events from the Entertainment District Arc until the end of the Hashira Training Arc. The first playable demo will be exhibited at Jump Festa 2025 later this month.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 – First Game Trailer | 2025 Release Date

This game will feature all nine Hashira, the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, as playable characters:

  • Water Hashira: Giyu Tomioka (CV: Takahiro Sakurai)
  • Flame Hashira: Kyojuro Rengoku (CV: Satoshi Hino)
  • Sound Hashira: Tengen Uzui (CV: Katsuyuki Konishi)
  • Mist Hashira: Muichiro Tokito (CV: Kengo Kawanishi)
  • Insect Hashira: Shinobu Kocho (CV: Saori Hayami)
  • Love Hashira: Mitsuri Kanroji (CV: Kana Hanazawa)
  • Serpent Hashira: Obanai Iguro (CV: Kenichi Suzumura)
  • Wind Hashira: Sanemi Shinazugawa (CV: Tomokazu Seki)
  • Stone Hashira: Gyomei Himejima (CV: Tomokazu Sugita)

It will also feature the 18 characters from the original first Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles game, the demons added in its free updates, as well as paid DLC characters from the Entertainment District Arc.

Just like the first game, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 will also feature a Versus Mode – Battle. It will add Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji to this mode.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles was developed by CyberConnect2 and released in October 2021. Aniplex released it in Japan, while Sega handled the global release. Initially available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, it was also released for Nintendo Switch in June 2022. The game has surpassed 4 million copies as of December 9, 2024.

Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2016 to May 2020, releasing a total of 23 volumes. Viz Media licensed it in English. The manga also received numerous spin-offs in the form of manga and light novel adaptations.

The anime adaptation by ufotable released 4 TV anime seasons and 3 movies. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy is also set for 2025, and it revealed the teaser visual and trailer for the first movie earlier today.
