Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle Reveals New Key Visual in Third PV Reveal

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Part 1: Akaza’s Return revealed a new key visual through a third PV reveal video during the San Diego Comic-Con in New York.

The announcement was previously teased, and the anime had a special panel today at SDCC 2025, which was attended by the movie’s director Haruo Sotozaki, Director of Photography Yuichi Terao, Natsuki Hanae (Japanese voice of Tanjiro), Aleks Le (English voice of Zenitsu), and LiSA. Approximately 6,500 people attended the panel, with the official Demon Slayer X sharing an image of Natsuki Hanae next to a poster for the movie.

The film premiered in Japan on July 18, and it set a new all-time record for an opening weekend in Japan. It drew 3.84 million viewers and generated ¥5.52 billion (approximately $37.4 million USD) in its first three days. Including the Monday holiday, admissions rose to 5.16 million with total earnings of ¥7.31 billion (around $49.6 million USD).

Following its domestic debut, Infinity Castle Movie 1 is scheduled to launch internationally between August 14 and September 25, 2025. The North American premiere is set for September 12. A legal warning was also issued with serious repercussions threatened for illegal uploads and reposts.

Demon Slayer Background

Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, ending with a total of 23 published volumes.

The anime adaptation by ufotable began with the 26-episode Season 1, which aired from April to September 2019. Following its success, the sequel movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train followed in October 2020 and arguably began the entire anime movie boom.

The movie was then re-edited and shown as part of the 18-episode Season 2, which aired from October 2021 to February 2022. The 11-episode Season 3 aired from April to June 2023, while Season 4 aired from May to June 2024 and set the stage for the endgame.

In related news, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Hinokami Chronicles 2 is scheduled for global release on August 5, 2025, and it will be available for PlayStation, Steam, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
