The latest installment of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime film series, Infinity Castle – Akaza’s Return, is expanding to SCREENX and ULTRA 4DX screenings starting February 20. This marks the franchise’s first entry into multi-screen and immersive 4DX formats.
The SCREENX version offers a panoramic three-screen setup, aiming to deliver enhanced immersion and a more intense viewing experience exclusive to this format. You can see a teaser trailer below.

The anime premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025 and then went on a record-breaking run, earning over 25 billion yen (approximately 174 million USD) in the first 31 days.
Following its domestic debut, it launched internationally on August 14, hitting North American theaters on September 12 and breaking even more records.
Demon Slayer Background
Koyoharu Gotoge wrote and illustrated the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, ending with a total of 23 published volumes.
The anime adaptation by ufotable began with the 26-episode Season 1, which aired from April to September 2019. Following its success, the sequel movie, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train followed in October 2020 and arguably began the entire anime movie boom. The movie was then re-edited and shown as part of the 18-episode Season 2, which aired from October 2021 to February 2022. The 11-episode Season 3 aired from April to June 2023, while Season 4 aired from May to June 2024 and set the stage for the endgame.
