Demon Slayer: Infinity Train Becomes The Highest Grossing Film Of All Time In Japan After 73 Days

The record has now officially been set! It was only a matter of time, and it took “Demon Slayer: Infinity Train” only 73 days to become the highest grossing film of all time in Japan. According to the official Twitter, it has earned 32,478,895,850 yen with a mobilization of 24,049,907 people. It finally overtook “Spirited Away”, which was recently updated and sitting at 31.68 billion yen. You can also check out the latest visual for the film:

There is also a new trailer, which is region-locked on YouTube, but available on Twitter:

In addition, theatre-goers in Japan received special benefits. Every 2 weeks, a different reward was given, and they released the first one on November 14. It was a cool A4 illustration given to a limited number of visitors, and a new one (A5 illustration) was given from November 28th. You can check out both of those below:

The third one was a special booklet which was distributed to 750,000 people from December 12, and the 4th was another cool illustration. You can check that out on the website, but be careful since it might spoil the film a bit. These probably boosted the sales a bit! The Demon Slayer film is already the highest grossing of all time in Japan, and who knows how far it will set the record.

There are also rumors of a new anime project being in development, although nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
