Nexon has launched a new crossover collab event for their MMORPG MapleStory with the popular anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. The event, which will run through April 28, features characters and content inspired by the anime, allowing players to play as Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke in MapleStory.
Limited-Time Tanjiro Job and Special Skills
During the event, players can create characters with a limited-time Tanjiro job. This character comes with unique skills from Demon Slayer, such as Water Breathing and Hinokami Kagura, which are unlocked as players progress through the game.
Exclusive Items and Recreation of Anime Scenes
The crossover also brings various themed items to the in-game shop, including character outfits, androids, pets, and chairs. A special feature of the chairs is that when players sit in them, they trigger a recreation of a notable scene from Demon Slayer.
Event Highlights
Several activities will be available during the event:
- Tanjiro’s Journal: This event allows players to level up their Tanjiro character by completing missions. The event is divided into a Progress Journal and a Mission Journal, both of which offer rewards as players complete specific tasks.
- Zenitsu and Inosuke’s Maple Expedition: Players can join forces to defeat enemies in this event. By completing certain tasks, players unlock special skills for Zenitsu and Inosuke. Once 100 enemies are defeated, the characters will appear in-game to assist with attacks, including Inosuke’s Beast Breathing Fifth Fang: Crazy Cutting.
- Mini-Games: Two mini-games based on scenes from the anime are available for players to participate in: the Demon Slayer Training Test and Kanao’s Coin Flip Challenge. Rewards are given based on cumulative scores and participation, although the Tanjiro job character is not eligible to take part.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a manga written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. It was serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from February 2016 to May 2020, ending with a total of 23 volumes. Studio ufotable is in charge of the anime adaptation.
The franchise has the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc movie trilogy in production, which will begin this year with the first movie. The first teaser visual and trailer were recently revealed, as well as the international release dates for each available country.
It also has the Hinokami Chronicles sequel game set to release on August 1.
