Chinese streaming service iQIYI (pronounced “eye-CHEE-yee”) announced that the globally acclaimed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira – Training Arc is set to be available for viewing on their platform on May 12, 2024. The premiere will be a 1-hour special episode and will be available in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Ufotable is animating the series.

iQIYI describes the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime and its “Hashira (Pillar) Training Arc”:

The manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, boasting over 1.5 billion copies sold in Japan, is the brainchild of renowned manga artist Koyoharu Gotouge. In 2020, the animated film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train shattered records as the highest-grossing film in Japanese history, resonating globally. Riding high on this success, the television adaptation continued to enthrall audiences worldwide. Now, following the “Mugen Train Arc” and the “Entertainment District Arc,” the highly anticipated fourth installment, Demon Slayer: Pillar Training Arc, is set to premiere!

This latest series delves into Tanjiro and his comrades’ intense training with the elite members of the Demon Slayer Corps to enhance their skills. Accompanying this legendary anime is a remarkable collaboration, featuring the renowned Japanese rock band MY FIRST STORY and the iconic HYDE, delivering an electrifying opening theme song. The announcement sparked significant buzz, and fans eagerly anticipate even more thrilling action scenes in the Demon Slayer: Pillar Training Arc, with the first episode slated to be an extended 1-hour special. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc Visual

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc is the fourth season of the Demon Slayer series. The story arc goes into the beginning of the training conducted by the Hashira in preparation for the forthcoming final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji. The anime will premiere on May 12 and will be available to stream on Muse Asia and iQIYI in Southeast Asian regions.

Muse Asia recently held a theatrical screening of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc in seven territories in East and South East Asia, including the Philippines on February 21, Vietnam on February 23, Malaysia and Thailand on February 29. The international screening was handled by Aniplex of America, Crunchyroll, and Sony Pictures Entertainment.
