Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba series is officially getting its 3rd stage play, centered on the Mugen Train Arc. It will run in Tokyo and Kyoto from September to October 2022. They’ve also revealed a visual for the new play:
Ryota Kobayashi and Hiroshi Yazaki will reprise their roles as Tanjiro Kamado and Kyojuro Rengoku in the Demon Slayer: Mugen Train stage play. Kenichi Suemitsu is returning to write and direct the play, with Shunsuke Wada again composing the music. The story for Mugen Train:
After their rehabilitation training, Tanjiro and his comrades begin their next mission on the Mugen Train, where over 40 people have disappeared. With one of the most powerful swordsmen, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, they face the nightmare on board. (Blu-ray Box description)
Tickets are scheduled to be available only to subscribers of the digital version of Weekly Shonen Jump, and to be included in the Blu-ray / DVD of the 2nd stage play, which will release on March 23.
Meanwhile, the Demon Slayer anime is currently running its Entertainment District Arc after 7 episodes of Mugen Train. It currently has 5 episodes available, with episode 6 scheduled for December 9.
