We’re all hyped for any and all information about the schedule of Demon Slayer and its Season 2, and so it got a bit hectic with the latest announcement. Here’s a quick rundown of what will happen and when we will actually get to watch the Entertainment District Arc.
Demon Slayer: Infinity Train will be a TV anime
The first thing we’ll be able to watch is a TV anime version of the Mugen Train movie. The 1st episode will be an all-new original episode covering the day before the events in the movie, while episodes 2 to 7 will be the movie content with newly edited scenes and music. LiSA will perform the theme songs for this part of the anime. The opening is “Akeboshi” and the ending theme is “Shirogane”.
Entertainment District Arc Comes Next
Then, on December 5, the actual season 2 starts with the Entertainment District Arc. It will begin with a 1-hour long episode. Aimer will perform the theme songs for this part of the anime. The opening theme is “Zankyosanka” and the ending theme is ”Asa ga kuru”.
The anime will premiere on both Funimation and Crunchyroll on October 10, with the Entertainment District Arc coming on December 5. The schedule for Demon Slayer season 2 is basically:
- – Original episode covering the day before Mugen Train events on October 10
- – The Mugen Train events through episodes 2 to 7
- – 1-hour long episode for Entertainment District Arc
- – The rest of the new arc
In addition, Miyuki Sawashiro was cast as Upper Moon 6, Daki!
The official synopsis for the Entertainment District Arc (Volume 9 of the manga):
Tanjiro and his friends accompany the Hashira Tengen Uzui to an entertainment district where Tengen’s female ninja agents were gathering information on a demon before they suddenly disappeared. In order to investigate, Tanjiro and the others disguise themselves as women to sneak in!
