How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is getting a sequel, with Part 2 airing in January 2022. The first season of the series ended on September 26, 2021, after 13 episodes.

Theme song information was also revealed. For part 2, Inori Minase is performing the OP song, “REAL-EYES”, while AIMI will be singing the ending “LIGHTS”.

How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom is a Japanese light novel series by Dojyomaru. Overlap started publishing it in May 2016 and it currently has 15 volumes in circulation. The same publisher started serializing a manga adaptation in July 2017, which currently has 7 volumes.

J.C. Staff (Food Wars) animated the first season of the series and Takashi Watanabe (Freezing) directed it.

“O, Hero!” With that cliched line, Kazuya Souma found himself summoned to another world, and his adventure–did not begin. After he presents his plan to strengthen the country economically and militarily, the king cedes the throne to him and Souma finds himself saddled with ruling the nation! What’s more, he’s betrothed to the king’s daughter now…?!
In order to get the country back on its feet, Souma calls the wise, the talented, and the gifted to his side. Five people gather before the newly crowned Souma. Just what are the many talents and abilities they possess…?! What path will his outlook as a realist take Souma and the people of his country down?
