Yuichi Nakajima, the head of programming at Fuji TV, revealed at a press conference that Dragon Ball DAIMA is fully completed. He explained the decision for its Friday night slot by saying:
“Since this is a brand-new series, we want it to be seen nationwide. While previous series aired on Sunday mornings, that time slot wasn’t nationwide. We believe this new slot will make it easier for Dragon Ball fans and our target audience to watch. We want to reinforce the image that ‘anime belongs on Fuji TV.'”
