The ecchi manga Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi (One-Tatami Manga Café Life), written and illustrated by Hisama Kumako, is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement was made in the August issue of Manga Time Kirara, released on July 9.

The series follows Meiko Morita, a high school student who relocates from the countryside to Tokyo to enroll in an elite all-girls school. Due to financial constraints, she accepts a condition allowing her to live and work at a manga café called Hedgehog, which also serves as a girls’ dormitory.

Three volumes of Ichijyoma Mankitsu Gurashi are currently in print, with Volume 4 set to release on July 26. An illustration and comment from the author were also revealed:

And to everyone who believed in this and waited patiently for the anime, thank you for waiting. I’m deeply moved to finally be able to share this news with you. Together with a truly wonderful team of staff, we are working hard to bring you an enjoyable production.
