The upcoming Encouragement of Climb: Next Summit anime series is set to release on October 4 this year. As part of the announcement, a new trailer and visual have been released, with the visual depicting the main characters reaching a mountain summit.
Studio Eight Bit is animating the series, with Yusuke Yamamoto directing it. Yuusuke Matsuo is serving both as the chief animation director and character designer. Ayumi Miyakoshi is responsible for the art direction, and Hiroshi Sato for the photographic direction. The previously-announced cast members include:
- Yui Ogura as Kokona Aoba
- Kana Asumi as Hinata Kuraue
- Yoko Hikasa as Kaede Saito
- Yuka Iguchi as Aoi Yukimura
- Nao Toyama as Honoka Kurosaki
- Emiri Iwai as Koharu Senjuin
The anime was first announced in 2019. A teaser trailer was then released in September 2021.
Encourage of Climb: Next Summit is based on the slice-of-life manga series of the same name,, which is written and illustrated by Shiro. It was serialized in Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star magazine in 2011. It previously received an anime series by Eight Bit, which aired from January and March 2013. An original video animation was released in October 2017, which was then followed by a third season that aired on July to September 2018. Crunchyroll is streaming the first and third seasons:
