Eromanga Sensei light novel series is set to end with the 13th volume which will be released on August 10. The final volume is titled Eromanga Festival and will have 264 pages. The cover for Eromanga Sensei’s 13th volume hasn’t been revealed, but the synopsis promises some big revelations as the story comes to an end.
ASCII Media Works has been publishing the light novel under its Dengeki Bunko imprint since 2013. Writer and illustrator duo, Tsukasa Fushimi and Hiro Kanzaki (Kanzakihiro) started the light novel after successfully cooperating on the Oreimo series, another ecchi story centered around siblings.
The light novel received an anime adaptation by studio A-1 Pictures in 2017. It had 12 episodes and was followed by a 2-episode OVA in 2019. A manga adaptation of the Eromanga Sensei was serialized from 2014 until 2021 when it ended. It featured art by rin. It ended after 79 chapters that were compiled in 12 volumes.
Dark Horse licensed the manga and describes the plot as:
Writing light novels isn’t all that easy, especially when you’re in high school&and you have to do the cooking and the chores for your shut-in stepsister who’s hardly come out of her room the past year! In the light novel business, it’s crucial to have the right person illustrating your books to help them sell–and maybe get made into manga and anime! But in a world of online pen names, the author and the illustrator may still not even know each other . . . until one day they realize they’ve been living in the same house all along! Now the home life of confident writer Masamune Izumi and his reclusive sister Sagiri–aka the artist ”Eromanga Sensei”–will be a drama to compare with their rising careers, their restive fan base, and their rivals in the industry!
